Who you're dealing with

Crackbotics is an independent, unincorporated student-run business based in San Diego, California, run by minors — not a registered company, and not affiliated with any school or FTC team it lists on this site beyond the founders' own membership on them. If you're a parent or team mentor arranging an order on behalf of a student, these terms apply to you too.

What we do

We CNC-cut 1/8 in. aluminum and polycarbonate plates and 3D-print parts, made to drawings or files you supply. We don't design your robot for you — we cut and print what you send us, or what we agree on together if you ask us to model something from a sketch.

Quotes and pricing

The price the quote form shows you, and any quote we give by email, is an estimate based on what you've told us or sent us. It isn't final until we confirm it in writing after seeing the actual file. If your file turns out to be more expensive to make than described — more material, tighter tolerances, extra setup, a longer print — we'll tell you before we start, not after.

Ordering

You send us a DXF, STEP, STL, 3MF, or a dimensioned sketch through the quote form or by email. We confirm price and turnaround before cutting or printing anything. Payment method and timing are agreed between us by email — we don't take payment through this website.

Your designs

You're responsible for having the right to send us any design, drawing, or file you give us — including that it doesn't infringe someone else's intellectual property. We don't claim ownership of anything you send us. We may keep a copy of your files for our own records, or to reproduce the same part again if you ask.

Turnaround and delivery

1–3 days is our normal turnaround, not a guarantee — material availability, order volume, or a competition crunch can push it out, and we'll tell you if that's happening. Parts are picked up in San Diego for free, or delivered locally for a flat $15.99; shipping outside that isn't something we currently offer.

Cancellations and refunds

• Before we start cutting or printing: cancel any time for a full refund of anything you've paid.
• Once your part has been cut or printed: it isn't refundable — that material and machine time can't be recovered or resold — except as covered below.
• If we made a mistake — the part doesn't match the drawing or spec you gave us because we made it wrong — we'll remake it or refund it, our choice.
• If the part matches what you sent but doesn't fit your robot the way you expected, that's not covered by a refund — double-check your dimensions before you send them.

No warranty beyond the spec

We make parts to the drawing or file you give us. We don't warrant that a part is legal for your specific competition ruleset, or structurally sufficient for how you intend to use it — that's on you and your team's design review to confirm. Parts are provided as-is once they match the agreed spec.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Crackbotics isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — a missed match, a broken robot, or anything similar — arising from a part we made. If we're found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that part. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Crackbotics is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by goBILDA, REV Robotics, or FIRST®. FIRST® Tech Challenge is a trademark of FIRST®. Any team names mentioned belong to those teams.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
